Bengkulu Tengah, November 4, 2025 — The Master’s Program in English Language Education (MPBIng), Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), University of Bengkulu, successfully conducted a Community Service Program entitled “TPACK-AI Training for Innovative and Impactful Learning” at SMP Negeri 18 Bengkulu Tengah.
The training aimed to strengthen teachers’ capacity to integrate Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) with Artificial Intelligence (AI) for more effective, innovative, and meaningful learning experiences in the classroom.
The program was attended by 30 teachers from SMPN 18 Bengkulu Tengah and neighboring schools, who enthusiastically participated in both theoretical and practical sessions. The participants learned how to use AI-based tools to enhance lesson design, facilitate interactive learning, and support creative student assessment—aligning with the principles of Education 5.0.
The sessions were facilitated by Dr. Iis Sujarwati, M.Pd. and Dr. Kasmaini, M.Pd., lecturers from the Master’s Program in English Language Education, FKIP UNIB. The speakers presented materials on the foundational concepts of TPACK, demonstrated practical uses of AI in teaching, and guided participants in developing digital-based instructional strategies.
The principal of SMPN 18 Bengkulu Tengah expressed appreciation for the program, highlighting its positive impact on teachers’ professional growth and readiness to adapt to technological advancement in education. Participants also conveyed enthusiasm and gratitude, noting that the training provided practical insights and inspiration for improving classroom practices.
This community service activity reflects MPBIng FKIP UNIB’s commitment to the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in community engagement and educational innovation. Through programs like this, MPBIng continues to contribute to empowering teachers and promoting transformative learning practices in Bengkulu and beyond.
