Examination / Defense

To successfully complete the Master’s Degree in English Language Education, students must go through a structured academic process consisting of three main stages: Proposal Seminar, Research Results Seminar, and Thesis Defense. Each stage is designed to evaluate different aspects of students’ academic readiness — from research planning and data presentation to final thesis defense — ensuring that every graduate meets the university’s academic and publication standards.

All students are strongly advised to prepare each requirement carefully and consult regularly with their supervisors to ensure smooth progression and timely completion of their study.

Thesis Defense Requirements

As the final stage of the postgraduate journey, the Thesis Defense serves as a comprehensive evaluation of students’ research competence, academic integrity, and communication skills. During this examination, students are expected to demonstrate mastery of their research topic, defend their methodology and findings convincingly, and reflect on the scholarly contribution of their study. Successful completion of this stage signifies readiness for graduation and academic recognition as a Master of Education in English Language Education.
