
Bengkulu, August 23, 2025 – The Postgraduate Program in English Language Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), University of Bengkulu, successfully held a Public Lecture themed “ELT and BIPA as Tools of Internationalization in Higher Education.”
This academic forum brought together international and national experts to discuss the pivotal role of English Language Teaching (ELT) and Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) in enhancing internationalization within higher education institutions.
Distinguished Guest Speakers
The event featured two renowned guest speakers:

Ester Quiroz Uribe, M.Ed., from Universidad de Concepción, Los Ángeles, Chile, who shared perspectives on global ELT practices and intercultural academic collaboration.

Prof. Dr. Arono, M.Pd., from the University of Bengkulu, who emphasized the strategic role of BIPA in promoting Indonesian language and culture globally.
Moderator and Interaction
The session was moderated by Taufik Akbar Azwar, S.Pd., a Master’s degree student of the Postgraduate Program in English Language Education, FKIP UNIB. Participants engaged actively in discussions on innovative strategies to integrate ELT and BIPA into internationalization agendas.

The lecture was conducted virtually on August 23, 2025, from 09.00 – 11.30 AM (WIB), attracting lecturers, students, and researchers from Indonesia and overseas.
