The Postgraduate Program of English Language Education will hold a Public Lecture as part of its academic enrichment activities aimed at strengthening scholarly discourse and professional competence in English Language Education. The event will be conducted online via Zoom on Friday, 24 January 2026, from 10.00 to 11.30 WIB.
This public lecture will feature Dr. Debora Tri Ragawanti, MA-ELT, a lecturer from Satya Wacana Christian University, as the invited speaker. She will present a session entitled “A Digital Multimodal Approach to Developing English Teaching Materials,” which will explore conceptual and practical perspectives on integrating digital multimodality into English teaching materials. The discussion will highlight the use of multimodal elements—such as text, visuals, audio, and interactive media—to support effective, engaging, and context-responsive English language instruction.
The activity is designed to broaden participants’ understanding of current trends in materials development and to respond to the increasing need for technology-enhanced pedagogy in English language classrooms. It is expected to benefit postgraduate students, lecturers, teachers, and researchers by providing relevant insights into innovative material design for diverse learning contexts.
