MPBIng Universitas Bengkulu Successfully Hosts the 6th ICOTEL in Conjunction with the 2nd INSEOLETA

Bengkulu, November 2025 — The Master’s Program in English Language Education (MPBIng), Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Bengkulu successfully organized the 6th International Conference on Technology, Education, and Language (ICOTEL) in conjunction with the 2nd International Seminar on Education, Language, and Literature (INSEOLETA).

This joint international event was initiated by the Department of Language and Arts Education in collaboration with MPBIng FKIP Universitas Bengkulu, serving as a platform for researchers, educators, and practitioners to share ideas and discuss innovations in technology-enhanced education, pedagogy, and language studies.

Distinguished Keynote Speakers

The conference proudly featured four esteemed keynote speakers:

  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hülya Tuncer (Çukurova University, Türkiye)

  • Dr. Finita Dewi, S.S., M.A. (Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Indonesia)

  • Mehreen Ayaz, M.Phil. (Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University, Pakistan)

  • Prof. Dr. Wisma Yunita, M.Pd. (Universitas Bengkulu, Indonesia)

Their presentations offered valuable insights into innovative teaching practices, global trends in educational research, and digital transformation in language learning, sparking interactive discussions among participants.

Vibrant Participation and Academic Exchange

The 2025 ICOTEL–INSEOLETA attracted 118 presenters, participating both offline and online, from more than 15 universities across Indonesia, including Universitas Syiah Kuala (Unsyiah), Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ), Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW), Universitas Andalas (Unand), and others. International participants also joined from the United Arab Emirates, the United States of America, and China, highlighting the event’s global engagement and cross-cultural collaboration.

Opening Ceremony and Institutional Support

The conference was officially opened by the Vice Rector for Planning and Cooperation, representing the Rector of Universitas Bengkulu, followed by opening remarks from the Dean of FKIP and the Head of the Department of Language and Arts Education. Their addresses underscored Universitas Bengkulu’s strong commitment to academic excellence, collaboration, and internationalization.

Commitment to Innovation and Impact

Throughout the sessions, participants exchanged ideas on cutting-edge research in educational technology, language pedagogy, literacy studies, and interdisciplinary approaches. The event not only strengthened MPBIng’s research ecosystem but also provided opportunities for publication in reputable proceedings and journals.
