On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, the Master’s Program in English Language Education (MPBIng), Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Bengkulu, successfully conducted the Internal Quality Audit (Audit Mutu Internal/AMI). This annual activity is part of the university’s quality assurance system, designed to review the academic, administrative, and managerial performance of study programs in accordance with national and institutional standards. The audit session took place from 10.00 to 15.30 WIB in a constructive and collegial atmosphere.
The audit was led by two appointed auditors, Dr. Fitrianty Wardhani, ST., MT. and Siska Yosma, S.Si., M.Sc., who carefully examined the program’s implementation of curriculum, teaching and learning processes, research achievements, student services, and documentation practices.
Representing the study program, Dr. Iis Sujarwati, M.Pd., as Program Coordinator, was accompanied by the Head of the Quality Assurance Unit (GKM), Dr. Ira Maisarah, S.Hum., M.Pd., along with home-based lecturers. They worked together to answer the auditors’ questions, clarify mechanisms, and provide evidence of compliance with quality assurance standards.
In her remarks, Dr. Iis noted the importance of the audit as a tool for improvement:
“The Internal Quality Audit helps us to evaluate our strengths while also identifying areas that need further enhancement. We are grateful for the constructive input from the auditors and will use it as a foundation for program development.”
The auditors acknowledged the program’s strong preparation and performance while offering several suggestions for improvement, particularly in strengthening documentation details and enhancing continuous monitoring. As highlighted by Dr. Fitrianty Wardhani:
“Overall, MPBIng has shown a commendable performance with solid evidence of systematic quality assurance. The suggestions provided are meant to further refine and sustain the excellent progress already achieved.”
The overall results of the AMI indicated that the program performed satisfactorily, with clear evidence of accountability, active lecturer involvement, and effective internal coordination. The constructive recommendations from the auditors will serve as valuable input for continuous quality enhancement.
This outcome affirms MPBIng’s commitment to ensuring quality education, research, and service, as well as its alignment with the institutional vision of becoming excellent, culturally rooted, and internationally competitive.
