Bengkulu, March 19, 2025—The Rector of Universitas Bengkulu (UNIB) officially handed over 427 competency certificates to lecturers, educational staff, and students in a hybrid event held in the Main Hall of the Rectorate Building on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. The event took place from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM WIB and was attended by key university officials, faculty members, and certificate recipients.
This initiative is part of UNIB’s commitment to enhancing the professional qualifications of its academic community. The certificates recognize the competencies of lecturers, staff, and students across various fields, aiming to boost their expertise and competitiveness in both academic and professional spheres. Notably, five certificates were handed over to lecturers of the postgraduate program in English Language Education, highlighting their dedication to continuous professional development.
In his speech, the Rector emphasized the significance of competency certification in today’s rapidly evolving educational and job markets. “These certificates formally recognize our commitment to continuous learning and professional development. We hope that all recipients will utilize their certified competencies to contribute to advancing the university and society at large,” he stated.
The hybrid format of the event allowed both in-person and virtual participants to engage in the ceremony. Attendees appreciated the university’s efforts in facilitating professional growth through certification programs.
