
“Kuliah Praktisi” on School Management
Bengkulu, 12 October 2024 – The Postgraduate Program of English Education at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Bengkulu (UNIB), organized a “Kuliah Praktisi” session, featuring Mardeni Santoso, ST., the principal of SMK Budhi Warman 1 Jakarta. Mr. Santoso led an engaging discussion on school management, a subject highly relevant to the Educational Management and Supervision course in the postgraduate curriculum.
Mr. Santoso, an experienced education leader, shared valuable insights into effective school management practices. He highlighted strategies for optimizing administrative processes, supporting teacher performance, and fostering a productive learning environment. His approach drew on real-life experiences from managing one of Jakarta’s notable vocational schools, which served as an enriching case study for the students.
The “Kuliah Praktisi” event allowed postgraduate students to connect theory with practice, providing them with a unique perspective on the dynamics of educational management and supervision. Attendees were enthusiastic about the session and appreciated the opportunity to engage with an expert actively working in the field.
Dr. Alamsyah Harahap, Dip.TESL., M.Lib., the course coordinator, expressed his satisfaction with the event, noting that Mr. Santoso’s insights into real-world challenges and solutions in school management will help the students better understand and apply the principles they study in class.
